SIMILAR PIECES : This chalice is the only example of this design (n°370241) known to have survived. Between 1901 and 1903, Knox designed a dozen types of chalices, all different, some very simple and others, like this one, with more elaborate details along the base and set with green stones. Two sister versions of this piece are recorded at auction, the first at Christie's, New York, on 11th June 1999, lot 359, and the second at Christie's, London 26th May 2005, lot 29.
