PROVENANCE : This model was originally designed for the bedroom of Cyril Flower, 1st Baron Battersea, London - Private European collection - Artcurial, Paris, 23rd May 2011, lot 14 - Private collection, Paris.
SIMILAR PIECES : Although it was produced commercially, very few examples of this fire screen have survived with the original parchment. A green version sold at Phillips, New York, on June 12th 2008, lot 172.
