PROVENANCE : Originally designed for the Billiards Room at Miss Cranston's Buchanan Street Tearooms in Glasgow - British art market.

SIMILAR PIECES : There are very few examples of this design known to have survived. One was shown by the Fine Art Society in their 'Spring '99' exhibition, another identical one is in a private Irish collection. A third table, slightly different, is in a famous British private collection.

NOTE : The tables visible in situ appear to be slightly lower, indicating that our example could have been made for a different room or a different commission.
