SIMILAR PIECES : Including this example, there are only five chairs known to have survived. One is in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, another with the Baltimore Museum of Art, and the other two in a private New York collection. The Baltimore chair has 'Morgan' inscribed in pencil underneath the seat frame.
